I'm a size XL shirt and I have to let out the XXL strap that came with my Polar monitor nearly all the way out. I don't like where that leaves the tag and now that I'm doing pushups and pullups, the XXL strap doesn't leave much room to grow. With the XXXL strap I have to let it out only 1/2 way. I find it considerably more comfortable than the XXL
